Muvamo
Our story began on trips through Rome and Istria in 2022. Between a morning coffee by the Colosseum and a sunset swim on the Adriatic, we realized what we loved most about traveling together wasn’t just discovering new places – it was planning the days, finding those perfect corners, and sharing them with friends who’d ask for our tips later. That spark became Muvamo: a space to collect the spots that truly stay with you. Every photo, every recommendation, and every story here comes from our own experience. We visit the places, taste the food, and only write about what we genuinely love. If it’s on Muvamo, it’s because we’d go back ourselves.
Behind Muvamo is a small team of curious travelers who see cities through slightly different lenses.
Adriana adds the lifestyle pulse. Originally from Pula and now based in Vienna, she brings a mix of warmth, clarity, and precision. With degrees in Marketing and European Studies, she ensures every guide is well-structured, timely, and full of personality. Adriana’s the one who finds local brands worth knowing, atmospheric cafes, characterful restaurants, and markets that still feel authentic. Travel, for her, is a way to connect with how people really live – and that’s exactly what she helps you do through Muvamo.
Mario is our history and context expert. With a background in Tourism and Business Administration, he brings structure and depth to every story, always adding those small but fascinating details that make a place come alive. Mario has a talent for uncovering the kind of facts that deepen your understanding and give real context. Off the clock, he’s usually on the padel court or watching football, fueled by espresso and his ongoing hunt for the city’s best tiramisu.
Michael, is our lead photographer and tech mind. He’s the person behind most of the photos you see here, always chasing the best light and the cleanest angle. With a decade in professional photography and 15 years in IT, he balances creativity and precision in equal measure. Michael’s guides help you capture your own moments beautifully, from the right gear to the perfect time of day. He’s a fan of Italian food, summer evenings, and the occasional local beer after a long shoot.
Together, we’ve built Muvamo as a personal collection of trusted recommendations based entirely on our own visits, experiences, and genuine favorites. We don’t do bad reviews, because we simply don’t include places that disappoint. What you’ll find here are experiences with real personality: meals worth lingering over, architecture that tells a story, and views that make you pause. We hope our words and photos inspire you to travel a little deeper, and to fall in love with the places that make life richer.
FAQ
Do you really visit all the places featured on Muvamo?
Yes, always. Every recommendation on Muvamo comes from our own visits and firsthand experiences. We explore each spot ourselves, try the food, and capture our own photos whenever possible. If we haven’t personally experienced it, it doesn’t go on the site.
Do you write negative reviews?
No. We don’t publish bad reviews because we don’t include places that didn’t convince us. Muvamo is a curated collection of favorites – only the restaurants, hotels, and experiences we’d genuinely recommend to a friend. Our goal is simple: every spot you find on the site or on our maps should be worth your time. You shouldn’t have to filter out the bad ones – we’ve already done that for you.
Does that mean every spot not featured on Muvamo is bad?
Not at all. There are many great places we simply haven’t experienced yet – and others that didn’t quite meet our standards or fit our style. Our collection is intentionally curated, featuring only the spots we genuinely want to recommend. So if a place isn’t on Muvamo, it’s either still on our list to try or it just didn’t make the cut for our recommendations.
Who takes your photos?
Most of our photography is done by Michael, our in-house photographer. He shoots all locations whenever possible, ensuring the visuals you see reflect the real atmosphere and light. In rare cases (for example, when photography isn’t permitted), we use officially provided images and credit the source.
Do you use AI to create your content?
All our content is created by our team, based on real experiences. We use AI tools only to brainstorm, support editing, fact-checking, and formatting – never to replace personal insight. We don’t use fully AI generated media, we only use it to enhance our content.
How do affiliate links work on Muvamo?
Some links on Muvamo are marked with * and are affiliate links – for example to Expedia, GetYourGuide, Breeze, or other trusted partners. If you make a booking or purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We always choose and feature places freely and only recommend spots and experiences we genuinely believe are worth your time. Your support helps us keep Muvamo independent and focused on honest, high-quality travel content.
How do you choose which spots to feature?
We look for places that combine authenticity, style, and substance. That could mean a small family-run restaurant with exceptional food, a museum with unique architecture, or a viewpoint that captures the spirit of a city. Every feature must feel special, reflect local culture, or offer genuine value to travelers who appreciate quality.
Can I suggest a place for you to visit?
Absolutely. We love hearing about new spots worth exploring. You can send us recommendations through our contact form or social media channels. We can’t promise to include every suggestion, but we’re always open to discovering something new.
Do you collaborate with brands or tourism boards?
Yes, occasionally – but only if a collaboration aligns with Muvamo’s values and editorial integrity. We only feature experiences we’d recommend independently, and all partnerships are clearly disclosed. If you’re interested in collaborating with us, you can reach out through our contact form or email – we’re always open to meaningful, value-driven partnerships.
