If you’re visiting Vienna, Brasserie Palmenhaus is a great spot for lunch with a beautiful atmosphere. We recommend Brasserie Palmenhaus for its bright, relaxed setting and reliably good food. The high glass ceiling lets in plenty of daylight, and the large tropical plants give the room a fresh, green feel.

The menu offers a mix of Austrian and Mediterranean dishes. You can choose from light salads, classic Wiener Schnitzel, fish, and other seasonal options. It’s also a good place for a breakfast, coffee break or an afternoon drink, with choices like Aperol Spritz and freshly brewed espresso. In summer, our favorite spot is the outdoor terrace. You sit among leafy plants and look out into the Burggarten. We suggest booking a table ahead for lunch or dinner so you can sit under that beautiful glass roof. During the day, the terrace is first-come, first-served.

Located inside Burggarten, it’s a nice place to take a break from exploring the city and enjoy the surroundings. The stylish interior also makes it a great spot for photos. The relaxed vibe makes it welcoming for solo diners, couples, or groups. If you’re in Vienna, Palmenhaus is definitely worth a visit.
