Am Himmel – A Peaceful Nature Retreat in Vienna
One of the standout features of Am Himmel is the Tree of Life Circle, a unique installation based on Celtic traditions. It consists of 40 different trees, each representing a birth period in the Celtic calendar. Walking through, you’ll find signs explaining the meaning of each tree, inviting visitors to connect with nature in a thoughtful way.
Adding to the atmosphere, hidden speakers throughout the area softly play classical music, enhancing the peaceful ambiance. This combination of nature, history, and music makes the experience truly unique.
For nature lovers, Am Himmel is an excellent starting point for a walk. Several trails lead into the Vienna Woods, offering quiet forest paths, hidden chapels, and additional viewpoints. The area’s history is also tied to Vienna’s wine culture. The surrounding hills have long been used for vineyards, and today, visitors can still see and enjoy wines from Weingut Cobenzl.
